When I ordered this piece, I knew before hand what I wanted to do with it. I did like the black cat, but I wanted it metallic sapphire blue. First I painted it flat black and then 5 coats to really get the blue to POP! and it did. Everything I know about metallic paint has done exactly what I thought it would. I did the same with the Gold Lion Head. I reviewed that too. I ordered the abstract figure sculpture and I painted it the same blue. But this cat as a stand out black is fantastic, yes I did feel a bit guilty about the outcome from the assembly, but I had this idea and it works. Thank you Papercraftworld these are WILD! ❤️❤️❤️

I had already assembled a heart, a hummingbird, and a macaw with my 6-year-old granddaughter. We punched out the pieces together. I folded and glued; she used her sweet tiny fingers to hold the pieces together until they were solid enough. She was so interested in the project that she "stuck" with it all the way through. Later I assembled the cat by myself, section by section. The toughest part was figuring out how to connect two big sections when the interior was inaccessible. (The heart and birds were wall-hanging sculptures with an open wall side.) I patiently held together a few outer tabs hoping they would be adequate to secure the join.
I don't have a lot of flat space on which to set my creation. She/He ended up on top of my kitchen cupboards. I love looking up and seeing the angles of the sculpture. Those engineers worked hard to craft this cat. I felt the project was challenging yet relaxing. Next I get to try the two-tone fox!

I had great fun making this model (my first but definitely not my last!). I used double sided tape instead of glue and it was really successful with a bit of care. I have a black cat (a real live furry one) and she's intrigued! I keep catching sight of this model out of the corner of my eye and thinking my own cat has jumped up on the mantlepiece. It's already been admired by a couple of visitors. Lovely to make and lovely to look at. Just need to find space for more models...

1st one to build and I really enjoyed it. People think it is very cool! Did not take as long as I anticipated to build. I chose to use the gel Loctite when building and it made it go very quickly.
Will absolutely build another.
Only criticism is that I wished there had been a piece of rigid cardboard in the envelope to prevent the mail carrier from bending the envelope to put it in the mailbox.
